Blue Print Cafe near Tower Bridge, London.

A short stroll along the river on the south bank, east bound from Tower Bridge, is the river view restaurant, Blue Print Cafe. Situated on the first floor, this ceiling to floor, glass fronted eatery, serves excellent food with an even more excellent view! Offering a set menu before 7.30pm we could dine for either £20 for two courses or £25 for three, both prices including a glass of house wine and each course having a choice of four options. One of our party has a severe nut allergy and the staff, especially the chef, went out of their way to ensure his food was prepared and served without risk of contamination to ensure a nut free, safe eating experience. With a starter of cauliflower soup with Brie topped bread soldiers, a main of beef cheek on mash with onion and a pudding of home made carrot cake the menu was flavoursome, well cooked and really rather yummy. Celebrating an 18th and an 81st birthday we had a really nice family night out that suited everyone. Definitely worth a return trip sometime.
